LUBBOCK, Texas — An off-duty deputy with the Lynn County Sheriff’s Office was arrested in Lubbock on Thursday morning, according to a press release. Online records showed Joe Harrison, 35, was accused of DWI.
Online jail records showed Harrison was taken into custody in the 5400 block of the Marsha Sharp Freeway. According to the Sheriff’s Office, he was arrested just after 7:00 a.m.
“We can confirm that the Deputy in question is no longer an employee of the Lynn County Sheriff’s Office,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
Online jail records indicated this was Harrison’s second DWI. His bond was set at $2,500. He remained at the Lubbock County Detention Center as of Thursday afternoon.
