The 12 best pastas in Nassau (2024)

If you're looking for an extravagant and luxurious resort, then the Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas is a great choice. With many accommodation options built around Aquaventure, a huge waterscape, there's plenty to do here whether you're staying in one of the resort hotels or enjoying one of the condo-hotels. While it can be a bit of a trek to get to everything, shuttle service is available to help make your stay easier.

Great trip, great service. The staff is amazing. The staff were amazing! Don't skip that part. They really were great to talk to and helpful. I can't say enough things about the staff. I played the ocean club course, used the water park and pools as well as hit the beach. I wish I'd had more time to hit the off resort options but there was no need.

A casino and hotel that is clearly the best in Nassau. Very luxurious vibe with its own beach and lots of things to see and do here whether you’re inside Atlantis or in the beach/ water area. You can buy a pass if you’re not living here to get inside or apparently I saw some lucky people sneak past security to get inside. Highly recommended

This place is incredible if not overwhelming. There's no shortage of activities to do. The casino is fun (though it could use a poker room), the water park is insane, and the aquarium feels like it was plucked directly from the Sea. It is expensive however. But, don't get to vacation all the time, so why not take advantage when you can? This resort could be too much for someone looking for a reserved, quieter or more natural experience.

We went here as part of port time fromour cruise ship. It’s a beautiful place to see! A great deal of architectural views. The casino games are fun but don’t expect to be a big winner. It’s merely entertainment. We wanted to go to the aquarium only but they do not allow this to happen. You have to buy a pass that grants you access to several adventures for $250.00 per person. It wasn’t worth it for us so we didn’t see the aquarium. The Gucci store prices are a bit more discounted than what you will find stateside. The cab rides that are outside waiting to take you to other tourist sites are quite festive!

Atlantis is a beautiful resort. I love the water park. However, The food is overpriced with the 15% gratuity. Also, I wish they had more night entertainment other than a night club and casino. I don’t club or gamble. They offered a magic show that you have to pay to see. 😒. I must say, that while I enjoyed my stay overall, I was highly disappointed in the fact that we were charged “no show fees” for restaurant reservations. They WILL NOT TELL YOU ABOUT THOSE FEES. One fee was $110 and one was $66. The front desk receptionist stated, “We don’t tell any of our guest” when I told her that guest should be told up front. She said it was in the fine print. I was pissed! I am grateful that she was understanding enough to refund our money. If my husband had not checked through the charges using the tv in our room 15min before we were to leave, we would have never known. Beware!!

Such a beautiful place and there is so much to do. We especially enjoyed the rapid river. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful view of the marina from our room. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There are many choices for food and drinks. Every day we found a different place to eat and were not disappointed in the food or service anywhere. I would definitely go back!

This is our second time at Atlantis and it didn't quite feel as magical as the first time. We ultimately had a great time! The staff were all friendly. They upgraded our room to ocean view which was beautiful, but the rooms seemed very average for the cost of the resort.Casino was great, it seemed pretty fair on winning and losing. They had a bunch of great activities on the resort. The kids loved the kids adventure activities. Poseidon's buffet had THE best customer service even though it was a buffet. It was easy to catch a taxi into town and get back. They did a great job teaching us what color license plates to look for when catching a taxi back to the resort. The four star is only because of the quality of the room we had for what we paid. Costs went sky high since a big basketball game was coming into town. The water park was great and the beaches were gorgeous! After the second day we couldn't go into the ocean because of a storm coming in but we at least still got to take pictures. The water park was fun and the dog was super cool too.

Let's be honest - I could spend forever talking about this property. Yes, it's huge. Yes, it's expensive. The place is beautiful. The service is top notch - if you've never been to the Bahamas, the locals are incredible people. The room was perfect. Highly recommend the F&B credits. It was nice to have the little extra because you will spend it. We did make a stop at a grocery store (which was super easy to set up) to have some snacks and beer in the room which helped buffer some costs. My only gripe is nothing is really open until 10 (beach included) but the grounds are sprawling and the aquarium kept the kids preoccupied until we were swimsuit ready. If you have little ones, the sea squirts adventure was well worth it! My daughter keeps talking about how she pet a turtle.

Beautiful resort with excellent customer service. Be sure to plan your budget. Meals can be quite expensive. Cash is not accepted throughout the resort, so you'll either have to use a credit card or charge all purchases to your room. A $750 hold was put on my credit card for a 5 night stay. Marina Village is a good area to visit with "budget friendly " dining options. Fire and Ice is nice spot for ice- cream. Make reservations in advance to secure a space at preferred restaurants. The transfers to and from the airport were easy! There is a lot to do on the resort so take advantage of it. Don't leave without visiting The Dive. Happy Hour at Shake Shack is the place to be! The beach at The Cove is the nicest beach option.

This is a wonderful hotel and I would stay here again. I give it four stars for the following reasons:Pros:1) The hotel is elegant and has everything you would need or want from a vacation. It is clean and well maintained. The ground and fountains were creative and fun.2) The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional.3) The beaches. Paradise Beach is fantastic. It was possible to find solitude in an amazing setting.4). The aquatic gardens are spectacular. They beat any aquarium I have ever visited - Multiple pools with threatened or endangered species. And lots of sharks. Different kinds.5). The aquatic park. They don’t just cater to kids. The slides are designed for the young at heart.6). Yes, they have a casino.Cons:1). The food. It was extremely overpriced. Bring several hundred extra dollars just for meals. We bought three muffins and a sandwich for breakfast one morning for $50. And one of the muffins was really stale. Do better. They should just add a meal plan.2) The restaurant hours were needlessly complicated. Closed some days but not others. There isn’t anything close by that competes, so you are captive to what they offer at the times listed.

We had a wonderful time staying here for a few nights. There was a huge aquarium under one of the main floors of the hotel. The food was tasty, and there's a nice casino as well. Amazing boats at the marina and the water park has some thrilling slides. Just an all-round great experience. Thank you!

Wonderful resort island. Great stay with friends. Such a nice vacation to enjoy the sea, sand, sun and activities. Dolphins’bay time was fun. Water parks was phenomenal. Best in the world. And of course the whole resort island is like a separate world from the outside.(Memory from 4days 3nights at the COVE Atlantis) Which to spend more time for a couple days. Still wanna do more aquarium and walk around the island.

First off….if you came by cruise ship or day pass you shouldn’t be allowed to review the resort. You have no idea what it’s like staying here.Stayed at the Reef from 8/12 to 8/17. This place has lost its luster. Been going for 10+ years and I can say I will never go back. Waaaay too many cruise ship day passes. If the resort is already at capacity and then you add hundreds of cruise passengers everyday taking up chairs, standing in lines for food and water park it gets old real fast! Hotel guests pay a lot of money to stay here and should not have to deal with the additional day guests. This is the greed allowed by the owners. Factor in the increased gouging, lack of facility upkeep and overpriced restaurants, it has simply jumped the proverbial shark. There are much nicer islands and resorts in the Bahamas where you spend a fraction of this cost and get a much more relaxing and cost beneficial vacation. It was a great run but Atlantis will be but a memory for my family.

Resort itself is fairly nice and has a good amount of activities to do.Downside is the hilariously overpriced food and drinks, especially considering most of it is not fine dining but costs more than fine dining restaurants.Overall not a bad experience, but for the price of the resort and overall cost of staying there, more should be had for the money. We enjoyed the stay though, it was a fun time.

We stayed in the Imperial rooms hoping for some refined service. However there was a light in our balcony that would not go off and we asked four times for it to be shut off the light bulb removed something to happen as it lit up our room all night and nothing was ever done. Also even though they still advertise for Club level service in the rooms that we booked there was no Imperial club and there was no Club level service.

Beautiful hotel/resort with plenty to do. Huge property to explore with something new around every corner. It was our first time staying here, the second time in the Bahamas. My daughter (2 years old) loved the water play areas and the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would love to come back.

The resort was absolutely gorgeous, beautiful views we had a room at the Coral with a garden view. Lots of fun wildlife to see in the multiple rivers and pools around the resort. The beaches were gorgeous. Only giving 4/5 stars because the bed in our room was pretty stiff.

The perfect getaway for families, couples, and everyone else. There is so much to do, from the moment you land on Paradise Island, you will be vowed by the gorgeous landscape, tall green palm trees with clean roads. There’s lots of staff at every station from bell desk to check in. This time we were welcomed by Mateo at Royal. The property is gorgeous, rooms were clean and had spectacular views of the ocean. The water park is great and so are the pools/restaurants. There’s something for everyone here. The marina area is our favourite and a stroll by there twice a day was a must. Looking forward to another getaway to Atlantis.

Amazing Experience and wish we could have spent more time. The Waterpark was great, the lines were 10-20 minutes long which wasn't bad at all. Always something to do and loved the twist on a regular lazy river. Overall great experience.

Israel V — Google review

It was a great experience to have with the family. The water park was a lot of fun and the pools were really enjoyable. The customer service is great. Really nice people. There are convenient food and drink establishment throughout the resort but they are pricey.

One of the best vacations I have had. spectacular views. ocean water Was perfect once you got used to the waves. The people are very friendly. The staff was helpful no issues at all the food was good. So many thing's to do we didn't leave the resort already planningour next visit

Beautiful place indeed.I would come and go alone, in a group or with family. There is a lot to do and so much to see.Casino is a smart and nice luxurious feel to the amenities.the aquariums are cool, the slide that takes you underwater with sharks is super fun as well.A great place to vacation.Food great, weather is great, people are pretty nice as well.

I had always wanted to visit this hotel because of its fame. I have no complaints about the place, it's fantastic, the way it coexists with the natural ecosystem is the best part. Seeing manta rays and sharks swimming in front of your eyes or above you is a great experience. The hotel is huge and is without a doubt one of the best places in the island.

This is my second time here at Atlantis, And I must say that The service is for the most part top notch. The Bohemian people do a great job of keeping this place running well. 💙🟡⬛I do believe that water should be free!My only complaint is that access to bottled water should be more available, and it should be free to guess. Also there should be more vegan and vegetarian options.

Property is beautiful. There are 5 different hotels at Atlantis. We stayed at the Cove. Room was in need of some repair. Be careful with the charges. We were quoted one price and charged another. Restaurants are lacking. You are charged 10% tax and 15% gratuity in all restaurants. All food is taxed and mandatory 15% tip. On top of that they ask if you want to tip even more. Tourist trap at its finest.

Loved this place!!! Family friendly and plenty of things to do within the resort. We stayed at The Reef 🪸and it was really calm and nice. The only thing that I didn’t like was getting insulted in from of my family by a worker. Other than that I loved it and look forward in having a family vacation there again.

Growing up seeing this hotel on the commercials all the time I never thought I'd actually get to see it in person. Its just like it looks on TV. Just stunning 😍. Massive resort. They did an amazing job with it. Inside and out just flawless.

Atlantis is amazing! The water park is one of the best! The beach is beautiful, and they have the lagoon that is great for snorkeling - so many fish. The reason I deducted a star is because of the difficulty for disabled access, lots of stairs and not many ramps, also some remodeling is needed, and finally although big name chefs in the restaurants, only 1 was really great even though every bill was over $500 for dinner. Still, highly recommend it especially for a family with kids.

Natalie B — Google review

Great place for the family especially the kids. Great restaurants for all likes. The pools and grounds are gorgeous with lush landscapes and beautiful tropical plants and palms. The kids will love all the pools and water slides. A must visit at least once.

Acct D — Google review

My family and I had a great time with the day pass. However, upon reflection - I would like to mention that while Atlantis looks humongous, there's not a TON to do really. What takes so long is that the routes to the different areas are very circuitous - so you're not able to simply go from point A to point B very efficiently.Everything is pricey. Lunch for a family of 5 (and I'm talking hot dogs and sandwiches) will set you back nearly $100. So just know you're in for an expensive day.But I don't want to slam the park. The grounds were very well kept. The staff was top notch. we really liked the lagoon! It's a secluded beach where kids can snorkel and see reef fish.Had a great time!

If you want to feel like a kid again, this is the place to vacation. The water slides are awesome. The leap of faith was super scary, but I was able to at least experience it one time. My favorite part was the dolphin experience! 🐬

My husband and I decided to book a last-minute getaway for our anniversary. We went through a third-party to get the room booked only to arrive at the hotel and find that our reservations had been booked incorrectly. Much to our surprise Rachel at the front desk worked her magic and was able to get us an upgraded room and a fabulous view! We also were able to access the club level where we met Eugene, Who absolutely loves his job, and knows his island! my husband had looked for reservations at a highly reviewed restaurant and was not able to get anything for months out! But Eugene was able to get us reservations for the same evening! We also met the club level bartender, Vincent. We enjoyed our many conversations sitting at the bar while drinking the fabulous co*cktails made for us. Although we were only there for a few days, by the time we left, we felt we had known these people for months!Atlantis has many fun things to do for adults and families. Which is why we are already booking our trip back with our own family! There are some people who have jobs and just show up, but then there are others who have jobs who love what they do and want to be the best they can for the people they see each day. These guys definitely made a lasting impression on me, and I will happily return to see their smiling faces!

the grounds of this resort are very nice, the complementary trams are fast and efficient. The food in most places was mediocre, but extremely pricey. There are no places where you can get a casual bite to eat, other than Starbucks. The new just breakfast restaurant at the Cove was terrible in regards to food and service. The Cove did have a nice private pool and private beach. The room was a complete disappointment, other than having a nice view, the room had very cheap and unkept furniture. Some of the chairs had the material peeling from the seating area. One of the sinks was plugged, the shower only got hot water in the morning and lukewarm in the afternoon. The mini refrigerator which was not even built in was not working properly. The prices were exorbitant, Example, since no drinkable water was provided we bought two 16 oz bottles of water, the price was $38.00. Room service for a turkey sandwich and a cup of soup was $89.00. and was terrible. They do have lots of pools and a beautiful beach, but other than the Casino with insane prices, there is not much more to do.

After staying for the second time. I would first like to say that the staff was very friendly. We also enjoyed the lagoons with the aquatic life. Dolphin cay and swimming with the dolphins was great!Grounds show signs off aging. A lot of broken concrete with re-rod showing. A lot of waterslides were down during a busy spring break week. Many broken light fixtures and even some hanging by the wires at the top of the power tower.Food was very mediocre especially for the price. Casino was very clean but some $5 tables during the day would be better. The most disappointing thing was that the environment was not good for families and older couples. The bathing suit attire was horrible! String bottoms with entire butts showing made it difficult the enjoy or days at the pools and water park. This type of nudity should be limited to an adult area pool. Unfortunately this will be our last stay due to this fact alone.

Atlantis could have gotten 5 stars. It’s super pricey and added fees for everything but we expected that. Friday and Saturday nights had wedding reception parties which they do outside near their lagoon. Friday ended at midnight but Saturday did not. I called at midnight because the music bass carries into the resort rooms after reverberating off of water and structure. Basically they would not do anything. They offer to change rooms but it would be the same at any room with a window or door and our family had two rooms that were adjoining. It was our last night and didn’t want to move, so we were up until 2. When I called at midnight we were told “it will end soon”. I asked if there were quiet hours and there are not. They will take whatever money someone is willing to pay to party as late as they’d like. Who cares about thousands of guests that paid for an entire week or more? When we asked for an hour later checkout the next day, we were told no. It’s too bad they have a great resort, but only care about money and not a great guest experience when it comes to lodging . The individual room service people were great and friendly and the employees at restaurants and pool areas were great, but I would never recommend staying over a weekend unless you are partying at one of the wedding receptions. Quiet hours after midnight from the “family” complex itself and an hour late checkout when they push that limit is the least someone could expect when spending over $15k for a week of vacation.
